Professional Summary
Mr. Marinucci has worked with the fire service and emergency management for over 35 years. He currently serves as the Fire Chief with Northville Township, MI and was previously the Fire Chief of Farmington Hills Fire Department in Michigan for 24 years. During his tenure as Fire Chief, he was on loan to the Federal Government and served as Acting Chief Operating Officer of the United States Fire Administration and Senior Advisor to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). He is an adjunct faculty member of the Fire Service Staff and Command School of Eastern Michigan University and for the Maryland Fire Rescue Institute National Fire Staff and Command School.
Mr. Marinucci has been a fire service consultant, a contributing editor and advisory board member for multiple organizations including: Fire Engineering, Fire Apparatus Magazine, Michigan Municipal League and Michigan Township Association. He authored a book for Brady Publishing, Fire Chiefs Guide to Administration and Management. He was a team member and co-author for the National Fire Academy, Open Learning Fire Service Program and faculty member for the International Fire Chiefs Association (IAFC) conferences, , Fire Departments Instructor Conference (FDIC) and numerous regional and state conferences and workshops.
Mr. Marinucci has served as President of the IAFC Great Lakes Division from 1992-1993 and as President of the IAFC from 1997-1998. He received the designation of Chief Fire Officer by the Commission on Chief Fire Officer Designation in the year 2000. He remains very active and serves on several committees with the IAFC, Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs, Southeastern Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs, Western Wayne County Fire Department Mutual Aid Association, and the Regional Alliance for Fire Training. He is currently the national manager for the Everyone Goes Home program of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
